LISA/INSPIRATION/LIVE FOOTAGE

I am interested in the footage found in live webcams. These are cams like this in famous places as well as unremarkable places all over the world. I find the footage fascinating as it is live. Some places are dark and it is night time, some busy and some quiet. Sometimes you can see a drama unfold. One time I watched a cam in a market square, someone has a minor car crash, then a police car arrived. these activities were both mundane but also exciting. 


I am a UK based artist living and working from my home studio in Bournemouth. My practice is mainly digital including video and augmented reality (AR) along with physical installations. I make work which is about social issues from a Woman's perspective. I am interested in secular religion and social contagion, I like to explore and confront the ways humans can act in society. I work in a space in a room in my house where I have a large desk and a large screen. I have many responsibilities so am happily distracted many times through the day. As a result I find the best time to work is latest night when most people are asleep.
