The space the deer is in reminded me of The Backrooms linking to the ideas/questions you mentioned surrounding source, how, why and where? This idea of not knowing is really interesting. Also thinking about AI/meta spaces. 

Another thing that may be interesting to look at is how animals have been sent to space? 

Not the nicest thing to look at yet animals in testing labs?
