Eve's Current Reading // The Hidden Life of Trees

 

Following on from discussing my work last week and Alessandra mentioning the Vertical Forest seen in the footage, I was reminded of this book, The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohelleben, which I have read before. Within it, the book outlines the way in which trees communicate and the similarities they have to human connection. From this, I have started exploring how the roads of a city are like that of a root network of a forest and how they connect a population. 

I have taken clips from the original video I chose to explore that tie into this idea but have also started collecting images from Google Earth of both road layouts and forest/ woodland environments. - Eve
